We have this conversation a lot in my home, in my workplace, with family and friends. How valuable is your time and are you choosing how to use your 86,400 seconds of the day or are you letting others dictate it. For most it is a combination.
This morning we had the conversation because I was typing up something that I had written by hand in the middle of the night. I was the recipient of a lecture about wasting my precious seconds by doing work twice. I nodded my head, smiled, and thanked him for sharing his thought. Then I thought, “is this a teaching moment?”
There is science behind what I do, but I didn’t think this was a time to share it with him. I thanked him for his advice and kept on typing.
There is certainly more to learn about all this and first I would like to know what you think. Hence, I would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and complete this simple poll.

I would not have guessed you would label yourself as one who procrastinates.
Once time is gone there is no getting it back.
That is so true and really no reason to fret about it once it’s gone.
Time is the one thing we all spend, and we all at times regret spending.
Very true. There are some times that what I see a valuable others view as wasteful. Any time I am reading with a child it is time well spent for me!
I did that (reading to a child) every day as an elementary school teacher. It is a joy in fact to read to a child!

I wrote three different messages to Admin. No answer. Just trying to learn if I’m invisible.
Yes we are all invisible, at least that is the way it feels today. I don’t think sending more is helpful. When and if they check them they will answer or simply approve.
It is really unfair. Everyone is publishing except me.
I don’t believe it is just you. I know of at least four others that are pending as well. I kind of wonder if they have taken January off.
