It was called parasol in the olden days and now it is commonly called umbrella. In a tropical country like ours the umbrella is used for protection against the elements. When it rains the umbrella is opened. When the sun is too hot the umbrella is opened.
What’s nice about the umbrella is its cost. Umbrellas come in different sizes and designs. But generally the price in the stores is affordable and I would say minimal. That is the reason why we have a lot of umbrellas at home.
