Upside down World

Being an only child I developed an incredible imagination. Well, I had to because there was no one to play with and mom was busy taking care of the household. So I came up with ways to entertain myself. Sure I had toys but hey, I needed something more interesting to while away the hours than just cuddling dolls and giving tea parties for my stuffed animals.

My mom had this round antique mirror with a long handle. I took that mirror and looked down into it and saw an upside-down world. So I walked about our apartment looking down into the mirror and I had an upside-down world. It was like walking on the ceiling.

Of course, I was careful and when I bumped into something I took a look around at where I was but pretty much I could wander around on the ceiling for hours at a time. Everything looked so different and I really enjoyed it. It is not a bad occupation for an only child in an apartment however I would not advise anyone to try this in a two-story house. Imagine coming to the stairs. Now I am living in a two-room apartment and I am still a child at heart. I still have the same mirror and perhaps one day I’ll have some fun walking upside down again. Adventures are fun.
