Two new lenses – which will get more use next week?

I have just pushed the boat out and bought two new lenses for my Olympus OM-D camera. The one on the left is a 75-300 mm telephoto (for long shots) and the one on the right is a wide angle (To capture more horizontally).

I bought them – at vast expense! – to take with me next week on a trip to Berlin, where I will spend three whole days walking round the city, taking in the sights and probably taking hundreds of photos. I reckon that these two lenses – in addition to the prime lens on my camera – with give me plenty of opportunities to capture the historical, architectural and other wonders of this iconic city.

The question is, though, which do you think will prove to be more useful on this trip, which will not go beyond the city confines?

Which do you think I will use more? (Bearing in mind that many photos will use neither lens because the prime lens will be sufficient)

(I have also bought a new carrying case for the camera, lenses and spare batteries!)

  • Which lens will get more use on my Berlin trip?

    • Telephoto
    • Wide angle
    • Equal use

    • The good thing these days is that you don’t have to take your roll film to the chemist’s shop to be developed, then wait a week to discover that you got the focus wrong!

    • We shall see!

I have had had this choice in the past with previous cameras, although the telephoto lens I had was a lot more bulky and I tended not to use it much because it was a pain to keep switching it back and forth with the prime lens. My new lens looks to be much more convenient.
