Turning A New leaf

A new day, a new month, a new year, a new life all of these bring a certain sense of excitement within us. Some of us make resolutions, new plans, different methodologies to achieve what we want in the new season of our lives.

As a child I always felt a sense of accomplishment when I turned a page.  It was like I had done loads of work,  I just felt good about it. I would think I would write better on the new page, improve my handwriting and leave the not so nice handwriting behind in that page turned around.

Later when I started to write seriously, I would feel like I had given it my all when I came to end of one creative piece. There was so much vigor that came with this sense of accomplishment, that energized me to move ahead with writing more. I would always think I would organize my thoughts better, write more forcefully and make my writing speak.

Now I understand the real significance of turning a new leaf. You just put your behind in the past  .. sorry it should be this way..  put the past behind you and move ahead with life. No matter how beautiful the past was, it is in the past. New leaf always means growth , growth that would take you places, widen your vision and give you new hope. You have the time and the space to make an even more beautiful life than what you had in the past. I always tell myself  your best days are yet to come.

While lessons from the past are valuable it is important to leave the past behind and take only what helps your growth. Change is the only constant in life.

The best thing about life is, everyone has a chance to change as long as they are alive.  However, to change you need to be aware of the need for improvement within. If not. do not worry, life changes you as you grow.

  1. the need for change, what an awesome question. Do you, from time to time, feel the need for change.

    Yes!
A friend of mine has a picture on her kitchen wall. It is a person in a swamp surrounded by alligators.

    The caption reads
When you are up to your neck in alligators
it is hard to remember your job was to drain the swamp.

So, i would ask do you always recognize the time for a change?

  2. This is a really nice post, my dear friend …. when I was young I always yearned for improvements and changes in life ….. I came to the top and now I just keep it …. I don’t want to make any special changes … .I live in peace and am content with my life
