I have two Tulip Poplar trees in my backyard. After they got really big and very tall I noticed these tulip shaped buds and realized that is where the meaning of the name comes from. It was a very cool moment. There are blooms inside these buds and the birds love them. The tree is covered with these in the summer. I also learned the tulip tree is one of the largest of the native trees of the eastern United States.
Nature has much to offer.

They are very common here but I never knew about these blooms. The actual flower is inside.

Nothing learned recently, but I did get the chance to get out and enjoy it this week, and captured great pictures on the places I have ran.

Several times see the leaves of this tree through your photos, the green color is very special as the flower too.
