Trump enforced IT emergency in the US

US President Donald Trump enforced IT Emergency to protect computer networks from foreign companies. President Trump signed the presidential order, announcing the implementation of IT Emergency, aimed that preventing US companies from use of foreign telecom companies, which he believes is a big security risk.

Nobody’s name has been mentioned in the Presidential Order, but possibly the objective is to target HAUWEI Chinese Company. The HAUWEI administration says imposing restrictions on their business will affect US consumers and companies.

These concerns have been expressed in recent months by many countries, that China’s is using their products for spy purpose, however, HAUWEI have strictly rejected the allegations.

On the other hand, the United States has been increasing pressure on its allies to avoid next generation 5-G HUAWEI mobile networks. In this context the US Department of Commerce has included HAUWEI in entity list. That means the company can not exchange technology with American firms without government permission

  1. I am not sure of this company at all. I don’t like people spying on other people, but you have to understand people will do it anyway.
I don’t understand why one Chinese company is more of a spy that another.

  2. I do not understand any of this so I don’t know if it would be a risk to the US. I know that when I lived in Latvia the government had a lot of problems with hackers from Russia and was considering putting some bans on certain Russian companies but then Latvian businesses really rely on Russian businesses so nothing got done.
