Triglycerides and omega 3

Triglycerides contribute to the high or low of cholesterol and to keep it in control doctors recommend Omega 3 fish oil.

The best way is to eat fish that contains omega 3 but not all fish have it. Here in India two types of fish mackerels and sardines contain this oil. They are quite cheap and not so exotic. Most do not eat this fish regularly, but would rather go for the exotic kind. There is no guarantee, however,  that this type of fish is available round the year.

The good news is Omega 3 fish oil is available in capsules and the one I take is 7 Seas Cod Liver  Capsules which are easily available. I take 2 capsules twice a day.

While natural food is the best choice one cannot under estimate the value of supplements which are always available.

  1. You’re right.
the oil contains omega-3 acids that prevent the atherosclerosis
It is best to take natural fish oil.
    1 tablespoon daily.
I often eat mackerel and sardines, but I wonder what kind of water they come from. How much mercury and other poisons are in them.
The capsules are also good, but I prefer pure fish oil.
