Trash segregation program

In our village, we were informed that there will be a seminar for trash segregation that can somehow be beneficial to the environment. Nice words to read but the program is not really that practical. It is easy to teach people but it’s not that easy for people to learn. In other words, there is something that is required so people will follow the rules. What about an incentive?

Normally the trash is placed in a trash bag or trash bin that is collected by the garbage truck. With the segregation program, all recyclable materials will be brought to the recycleing center so that the garbage truck will have a lesser load. But why would I bring the recyclable materials to the center? Don’t they know that it takes time and effort to do that? I am speaking in behalf of the ordinary resident in our community.
