To shine in eternity as a small light?

I often run away from the thoughts that haunt me. I am still afraid that I have not yet done what is meant in life, and I do not even know if I am trying in the right direction. I see the coming night, the next dawn, fruitless or fruitful day, and the evening again – where is the meaning, I ask myself, what is my purpose? But there is silence inside, I hear the heart beating only.

I go out to nature, and while I enjoy it, while the wind keeps hugging my face and the hard earth touches my feet, I am calm. Or maybe there is no other meaning and purpose – just to be. To shine in eternity as a small light?
