to shove the inky sea
away. Push it back from the edge
of a giant cliff
push it away. Reach instead
drink in instead
the light
pushing away the quiet.
pushing the inky blackneess
further
and further away. But
is the push required
the light required
to drive
away from the blackness
the inky essence of
what we do not seek?
Or can we find
instead
the light within us
to drive away from the inky darkness
without a shove
or a push?
The light is enough to drive away the darkness.
sometimes, sometimes the darkness remains
Wonderful song. I often feel lost, but I always find the way
I think that is the reality I am in right now. A little lost but slowly making my way back!
An excellent song with good lyrics, my friend … I’ve already lost in the darkness many times, but I’ve always found the light
Thank you so much! This is one of the newer ones.
It’s great, dear friend … talent remains over the years
thank you. I am feeling very happy thanks to your kind words!
With great pleasure, dear friend
Love your poem. I try to enlighten myself every day and trust in the Lord to lead me on my way. If I feel like I am slip sliding away I say a prayer and find my feet again.
It is always good to have a solid base!
Indeed I have been lost in the darkness before, but I am finding my way out and going toward the light.
That is none so valiant as those who rage against the passing of the light. You are one of those people Carol!!!
