The advice that is given about washing hands as many times and even sanitizing them made sense when I came to know that on an average the face is touched atleast 2000 times a day.
This is in the context of keeping safe from Covid-19. When an infected person sneezes or coughs droplets are thrown out that settle on surfaces. If these surfaces are touched there is the possibility of the person touching it getting the virus.
I am now conscious and avoid touching my face as many times I used to prior to this.

I didn’t know that. But this is hard to control.
That is why we are expected to either sanitize or wash our hands often.
It is very difficult to control this. This is very dangerous when we are out.
If you sanitize your hands then touching your face will not pose problems.
When I do touch my face, I always remember that I need to wash my hands due to touching something recently like my car door, the main door in my building or something at work.
But now with this threat where touching several areas are at risk we should be all the more alert,.
Avoiding touching the face is very difficult because sometimes we do it involuntarily. I am finding it hard to heed the warning of not touching the face.
Same here. But I have started becoming conscious of it and that I hope is the beginning.
