I found this in my archives. Not many butterflies visit our garden. We only see them when the Ixora is in bloom and since I have planted them all over the garden I see them flying around.
Here it is busy getting its share of the nectar from the orange Ixora. Butterflies need seasonal flowers to collect their nectar. We have very few seasonal flowers.
Butterflies come in different sizes and shades but sadly they do not live for long but while they do, they are a source of great joy to gardeners.

That’s a wonderful capture! I see them often, but photographing them isn’t always easy.
Sometimes they stay on the flower a bit longer and that’s the time to capture them.
I see butterflies but mostly white and yellow.
We have other colours too
I often see butterflies. Unfortunately, I don’t always carry the camera to take pictures. Great choice for squid.
Lately I too have not taken any photos of butterflies. This is an old one.
Nowadays I don’t see butterflies often. I think it has to do with the rainy season.
If there are flowers around with nectar I do not think seasons matter.
