Be careful what you think when you are alone and be cautious with your words when you’re with others.
When you think pretty thoughts you may not have to worry about your words. I wonder what this rose would do if it could talk or think. I am sure it would think only positive thoughts and say only positive things. It would know that its life is short and its petals would soon wither away, but it would enjoy its moment in the sun and let you enjoy its beauty and its perfume.
I wonder what it would say to the grass behind it – maybe it would say thank you, for you complete me or I love the contrast you provide. Would it say you are a nobody to the grass? I am not sure it would. The rose would perhaps know that it was itself a plain Jane itself before it bloomed. Perhaps bare canes with no leaves for cover. Yet we look at those who have not yet bloomed and think they are too simple or too boring. Everyone blooms in their time, so wait, give them time and they would be fine.
