For Themes of the month challenge, I am showcasing my orange Geum flower. Geum is a perennial flower that adds a whimsical touch to any flower garden. Against the backdrop of dark green foliage, beautiful flowers on tall stalks sway gently in the wind. Geum comes in red, white, yellow and orange, which is the one in the photo. If you think the Geum flower resembles a rose, you are on the right track as it is from the rose family.
Geum flowers profusely in Spring into summer and even after flowering, the attractive seed heads made a quite a statement with their feather like tails. They are great for borders and grow well in sunny areas with good drainage.
