The yuletide tradition called caroling

In our culture, caroling is a tradition where children and adults sing carols to houses. In return for the kind of serenade, the house owner would give treats and coins. According to the old folks, this tradition started a long time ago.

In our home, we are propagating the tradition by doing our part. We give coins and treats to the carolers every night for 9 nights. The official start of caroling is on December 16 and culminates on December 24 with a midnight mass. We usually have more than 100 carolers every night so the budget is no joke when it comes to the money and the treats.
