I pity the couples who have solid plans of getting married this year. So far we had received 4 wedding invitations this year and only 1 was able to push through in January that is before the lockdown era. The 3 other invitations for the wedding was postponed to a later date. They said they are waiting for the virus to vanish.
The question now is what if the virus will not disappear, what will happen to the wedding? One invitation was recently cancelled maybe because they think that the virus will stay for long. They may decide to just wed in a civil rite so there will be no more ceremony in the church. It is really sad for them because gifts are not coming anymore.

Do you get invited to a wedding?

Yes

I know about a few postponed weddings because of the same reason.
