The Question ~ 365 Photos Challenge #291

Strange, rare, and impressive. That’s what I think if there are still people asking “Who am I?” and feel dissatisfied with all the answers in the various modes available around him, whether it’s a book, teacher, or teaching.

Of course, that is not a new question, which is only asked by the person but by many people, especially when young. That fundamental question; Who am I? where did I come from? what am I doing here? Where will I go? is a common question that has crossed the minds of many people. The question often resonates so strongly and demands an answer.

In its journey in the midst of life, at any time, of all the owners of these questions, for various reasons, many have ruled it out, or are satisfied with established answers provided by others in society, community, or family, which both in traditional and contemporary societies, to a certain extent, answers to such questions are dominated by religious teachings. But on the contrary, there are still, and always are, people who try hard to find answers to the question seriously, and are not satisfied with the answers given by others. They strive with all their determination and the best ability to probe into the inner meaning of religion and wisdom. They keep trying to get more definite answers and can remove doubts from their minds. The answer is very important for them to determine their attitudes, ways of thinking, and acting after or as a continuation of their choice of attitude so far that is more in line with the picture they have about themselves.

To some “strange” people who craved the deepest answers, who hoped the answer will touch and transform their entire being, who had picked me up from the office this afternoon to discuss about it and how to find the answer, who had just taken me home in the early hours of the morning, I say that adventure above the path to the answer asks far more than just the level of action, carrying out good deeds, and faith in the existence of God. With the religion or the wisdom that you want to use as a compass, you need to find the essence and the  light of it, the light to illuminate the dark corners of our souls and the key to opening the door from our own hidden recesses, to make a pilgrimage or face the deepest inner altar to know our true self, which in turn will lead us to the Almighty who resides in the center of ourselves, who will answer with certainty all your questions. To be sure, it’s not an easy trip.
