The Party Proposal

My niece and my son have suggested that we have a dinner party at my home. The idea is let the little ones stay at the hotel and have their own celebration and we get together as the older generation.

The proposal is that all I have to do is spend the night at a hotel and have light brunch with the entire family while some people come and set up the meal.

After the brunch there is a ball room in the hotel and they are suggesting we could spend the afternoon watching our old home movies on the big screen. (That would include the whole family.) The youngsters would stay at the hotel and enjoy the pool and facilities while the adults would come to my home to have a meal  and conversation.

Neighbors and some family members have volunteered to make the whole thing work out. They are simply waiting for me to make the final decision.

It would be nice to see everyone and it would be a very tiring day. I understand that I would not have to lift a finger, and that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t fidget and worry.  It’s an honorable thing they are suggesting.

They are not harping on it. They presented it to me once time and  have until the 17th to let my son know.

  1. Thanks so much to the five people who took the time to take the poll and share their thoughts. I helped me make the decision. We did have the party and I truly enjoyed the entire experience.

My son tells me there are some problems on this web site and I should help by commenting on posts of others. I am going to try and do some of that.

  2. I would do anything for one more meal with my father. Or one more meal with either of my grandfathers.

The connection generation to generation is so important.
