The Lion King Meets the Princess

After receiving her first salary, my daughter told me that she will treat me to a movie. So on a Saturday following the date of receiving her very first salary as a teacher, we went to the mall after she had her hair done in the salon. All three cinemas were showing The Lion King. She chose Cinema 1.

I’ve watched the Lion King movie before and I must admit it is one of the good movies depicting leadership, family, and friendship. Though at first, I am not fond of viewing something I already saw, but since it was my daughter who asked me to watch, well, that is a good time for bonding with her.

I wouldn’t share any detail of the movie because I don’t want to spoil anything for others who are planning to watch it too.

Thank you for reading!

  1. I do believe that the love parents have for their children CANNOT be outgrown with age or any other carnal attribute or mindset, because parents and children love, relationship, trust transcends logic and any scientific explanation, IT IS JUST ETERNAL!

I now know what it means for me not to hang out with my father again!

      • You’re right. A child in an adult’s heart. At times I like to be childish.
And, welcome your daughter for me to the world of teaching. I’m a teacher. Let her know ‘Teaching is a noble profession.”

  2. Truly inspirational I love spending time with my children. When they were little I picked the movies. Now, when we go, they pick the movies. It is so much fun to have them tell me why I want to see a movie now!

    • Thank you doc for dropping by. Yes, my inspiration is my children. They are the reason why I am working hard and to provide them with their needs and supporting them every step of the way.

    • Same here Dawn. I know I have some shortcomings too but I am trying to be with them. I know there are important things but if I have to choose, I will drop those other things to be with my children. This is probably one of the reasons why there are times, I couldn’t deliver the work that is expected of me.

      • I am sure you won’t regret it. Family is the biggest investment we can make.
Guess what, my son took us for this movie again after his first salary/stipend came. He insisted that we go again. I think this must the 100th the time he has seen the Lion King. He used to pester us as a kid to take him to the movie so we got him a CD instead which he watched until it worked no more 😀
