Apparently the Jersey Devil has been wandering around the pine barrens of New Jersey since way back in 1735. People claim to have seen him even nowadays. As time has gone by more than 2,000 people have come in contact with the Jersey Devil. This has caused great alarm among people in the town where this creature has roamed and has gone so far as to cause the closing of schools and factories. Of course, researchers take this with a grain of salt and suggest that the Jersey Devil is more legend than reality.
That brings us to the question of how will I know if I’ve met or seen the Jersey Devil? Alright, this is what you have to look for – it is three and a half feet high, has a head like a collie dog and the face of a horse. Its body has a long neck, two feet long wings, the back legs are like cranes and it has horse’s hooves. Supposedly it walks on its back legs and holds up the two short front legs with the hooves. Well, I don’t know about you but that doesn’t sound too scary however if I did see something like this I would doubt my own sanity, of course, depending on how many drinks I had had before I saw the Jersey Devil.

There was an episode on the X-Files that gave the Jersey Devil a shout out. Other than that, I know nothing about it what-so-ever.
or it is a hockey mascot!
That is one of those makes you wonder things.
Anther amazing post and information you have shared. I hope this is not in my neighborhood.
Unless you begin hallucinating I don’t think you have anything to worry about, Carol.
LOL nope I don’t have such devilish neighbors.
Glad to hear that, Dawn, I did have some rather scruffy neighbors who after a few drinks could resemble this back in Latvia,
