The Friday in Black and White – Photographer in action

Taking street photos is very exciting. The biggest challenge is to take street photos during the night. This requires more experience, a more efficient camera that takes satisfactory photos at a high ISO and also a tripod … if you don’t have strong enough hands (as the photographer in the picture has). If you don’t have a tripod or hands strong enough to hold the camera in your hand (as is my case) then you need to find a compromise solution. Put the camera on the street, focus and press the sutter button. You can get satisfying photos.

Camera:Leica V-LUX (Typ 114)

Settings f3.2, 1/10sec, ISO 3200

  1. Very interesting photo. Not every photo tells a story but those that do are clear if the photographer has taken the picture just the right way. I assume that in this photo the candles are being lit in memory of someone or some event
