The Friday in Black and White – Hands up!

Street photography is a very important branch of photography. It captures and isolates brief moments that intrigue us at some point. Framing and timing are extremely important factors without which this kind of photography cannot exist. The moment lasts a few seconds and you can lose it if you are not fast enough to take the picture so… be fast!! I took this photo during a concert that took place in the city some time ago. It is part of my outdoor low key photography project.

I share it with Friday in Black and white Challenge. Hope you like it!

“In black and white there are more colors than color photography, because you are not blocked by any colors so you can use your experiences, your knowledge, and your fantasy, to put colors into black and white.” – Anders Petersen

  1. Hopefully, all of the hands in Romania remain in a volunteering type mood and stay up so that the country has a smooth transition with the changes in government.

    • Romania is in the pre-election period and all these political games are made only in the interest of the politicians, not in the interest of the population. I do not make politics, but observe what happens.
The current government has been hampered since taking over the government. There are interests far greater than the internal ones. Romania is in a very sensitive geopolitical area, between Russia and NATO.

      • I try to stay current with what is happening all over the world. I had seen a video a couple weeks ago of people protesting in Bucharest. Also, I watch a lot of football/soccer and one of my favorite players a few years ago was Adrian Mutu because my first name is also Adrian.

  2. ok your picture scares me.

I started out life as a school teacher. I remember the sea of hands. Pick me, Pick me!

(I was kidding, it really doesn’t scare me).

    Wonderful composition!

  3. I love your photo and that can only be expressed in black and white, but as to preferences I have to say I like both black & white and colour, it depends on what the subject you are photographing is.
