As if a rock
piecing the surface of a pond
to sink.
twirling as though a
leaf in the wind
ejecting a small
cloud of mud
as it
settles
to the bottom of the pond.
as circles of water
spread outward
trying to get away from the hole
created by the falling rock
and the
sun
knocked from the very sky
falls to the ground
and rolling around
we only see
the tiny cloud
of dust
from where it hit the ground.
Ever watch the falling sun?
When it is about to say goodnight
To give way for the moon to rise
It is like the king paving the way
For the queen to shine
Or like an angel hurrying home
Trying to catch up
The closing gate of heaven above ?
??? At least that is how Pixies see the falling sun. Wonderful poetry, Doc. Really shows that sentimental side of you. Love it ??
Thank you oh sun chasing pixie!
I like your line or an angle hurrying home – nice!
I love watching the sun – – – and watching it at sunset always feels to me like a coming home. I am a skywatcher Doc. In the morning, when I wake up, I look up above and say thanks. At night before I sleep, I do the same. The bedroom has an open area outside (converted by the witches to an improvised garden) that makes it easy for me to do it. It looks out to the sea too.

A beautiful song and a stunning sunset. I adore the view of the sunset.
The setting sun is magical. Thank you!!!!
Only those who date the sun can convey romantic messages like this.
what a great thought, dating the sun. That would mean when the sun was out you had to be outdoors, right?
Of course, Coach. It also means that we really understand the importance of the sun as our lover.
I was late in reply because I could not log in for errors throughout the night.
