In 1954, when she was five year old, Marina champman was kidnapped. She lived in Colombia at the time. Her kidnapper abandoned her in the jungle and left her for dead alone and afraid, She came across a tribe of Capuchin monkeys , Small , highly intelligent black and white monkeys that occupy the wet lowland forests.
For five years she copied what they ate, drank, socialized and communicated, eventually the Capuchins accepted her one of their own and thought her now to forage and avoid predators in order to survive.
She was found by hunters some time later, but they sent her to a brothel before she escaped. Now living as a British house wife with two daughter of her own. She has her own book describing her five year journey entitled ” The Girl with No Name” The incredible true story of the girl raised by monkey.
