The cashew is an exotic fruit

In the olden days, the cashew fruit is being sold in the market. It was not expensive and ordinary people can afford it. The cashew fruit was one of my favorites when I was a boy. Unfortunately the cashew fruit vanished in the market when I grew up. It was a fortunate incident that I saw a vendor selling cashew fruit in one province I visited. It was a relief to see and taste the cashew fruit again.

The yellow fruit has the seed at the bottom. That seed contains the cashew nut. After eating the fruit, I planted several seeds and fortunately 2 seeds sprouted for me to have seedlings. Later I planted the saplings in front of our home and the other by the side of our house. In the picture is the fruiting cashew tree in front of our house.
