The bad side of technology

When the mobile phone came to fore, it was the call and text that mattered since those are the only function of the mobile phone. And then the camera  was added which has a bad resolution but still fine with the users. But when the smart phone arrived, that changed the landscape of everything in humans. The internet got them hooked using the phone that now it is like people are slaves of technology.

So many times that I have seen a group of people, whether they are family or just friends, seated together in a table with each one holding and focused on their phone. In the olden days, that group would be animated in their conversation especially if they are good friends. But now regardless of being good friends or even close family ties, the mobile phone is the companion of the mind. Physically with people but mentally with the phone.
