By 1967 the American alligator had become an endangered species. The Fish and Wildlife Service realized they had to do something about the hunting of alligators in the southern states. Finally, the hard work and new laws paid off then the American alligator had made its return. The alligator’s eyes and snout are on top of its head so that it can breathe as well as watch for prey keeping the rest of its body submerged.

I saw one when I lived in Miami. I would like them to be gone.
As long as it did not attack me I would like to see one here in Florida. Sharon.
He’s rather good-looking, but I wouldn’t like to meet him in the wild.
I have had my share of swimming with the gators. 🙂
True he has the evil smile. LOL
