"Thank you Pinkie for dropping the torch"

Naughty Pinkie is always seen precariously walking on our cluttered dining table.  And this time she was a bit careless and she dropped the torch.  “There goes my torch” were my first thoughts.  I was not unduly worried as it was anyway not giving us much service. 

I picked the torch from the ground and tested it to see its plight and what do you know the switch stayed on as long as I wanted it to which was not the case earlier. 

Wonders never cease  Do they?
