Swan Lake

Here’s another photo I took during the summer. The photo doesn’t capture them all, but there were more than 50 swans on the like. I have never seen that many before, so it was a very special experience for me. There were some young swans too, but I guess most of them were hiding somewhere. There were also seagulls and ducks in the background, as well as cormorants in the far back.

  1. We have just Black Swans and often see Cygnets in spring. 2 main places are by Puketutu Island and Western Springs but there are other places. I have also seen them on Lake Pupuke on the North Shore. Off course I’m only speaking of Auckland city in NZ.
