Sundays are Different

I was raised in a very religious home. Sundays meant church, study and rest. The goal was to attend church and make it a sacred day. My parents didn’t believe people should work on Sunday if it could be avoided. It was a day of worship. We wouldn’t go to a store or do anything that would require others to work. I understand the reasoning and things are not the same in my home.

I am grateful for their teachings and examples. There were many positive things about being raised that way. While I am not as devout or committed to one religion like they were. I do tend to listen to some more spiritual music. I tend to take part of the day to think about improvements I need to make. I try very hard to keep it a day when I “center” myself.
