Sugar Cravings and Healthy Desserts

This may sound funny, but whenever I am craving cake, toasts like this one help me satiate them quickly, and it’s often more delicious than many plain-tasting store-bought desserts. Wholegrain bread, delicious fruits, nut butter, nuts and seeds, and a little bit of dark chocolate. I am not saying that I don’t eat unhealthier sweets as well, but I try to find a balance.

Things that can contribute to having sugar cravings include stress, hormonal imbalance, poor diet or bad gut health, lack of energy, mineral deficiency, dehydration, and many other factors. To beat the problem, you need to find out the reason for your cravings. Some general tips include sleeping enough, planning your meals, eating enough protein and healthy fat, and keeping your stress in check. Also, avoid temptation or opt for healthier sources of sugar like fruits.

  1. Many times I have a craving for sweet, my dear friend …. I prefer chocolate cake … I choose nothing healthier … coma lingers sweet I don’t mean healthy eating … I always have something sweet at home but no other but milk chocolate

  2. You know Ellie, I never really craved too many sweets. I think it was all that candy that I ate as a child my body just had enough. I don’t use sugar in anything, not even iced tea. What I do enjoy now and then is a croissant with jam or pancakes with some jam.
