Stained glass in our parish church

Today I visited our parish church to see the Christmas crib. I remembered that I had promised Doc to show him the stained glass. This is stained glass in our church. Glass was first used for windows in ancient Rome, where they began using transparent glass, and the first appearance of colored glass originated in France. And that’s how the stained glass came into being. Stained glass is a product made of colored glass and is usually 3-4 millimeters thick. The glass is colored with special colors that are already added to the glass mass during its manufacture, so the colors never fade. In the Middle Ages, the stained glass appeared mainly in churches where they educated the population through religious stories.

  1. Gorgeous looking stain glass. I remember our old church with all its beautiful stain glass windows. Unfortunately it burned down and has been replaced with a more modern looking church which has only one stain glass centerpiece.
