Spearmint ~ Color Crazy

I remember my Grandmother always carried peppermint in her purse. She would get what she called coughing spells. I did the same, but used them mainly for breath mints.

As I got older I found the spearmint flavored was better than the peppermint. Something a little different. I also learned some health benefits from these mints.

  1. I always like mint or spearmint, makes me want to get more mint plants in the garden…For some reason the mint in my garden died but I know in time it will grow back again.
    Mint is always a nice tea. Just put it into a cup and drink it on its own or with lemon juice or honey. Sometimes on its own.
    When I boil vegetables I like to put a sprig of mint with it.

  2. I never knew about the health benefits. I love spearmint leaves (the candy); but I don’t know if there’s any natural flavor in them. Great photo too!
