A song that was written for the caretaker of his ranch but a song about connection.
Neil Young’s Old man. This song comes from Neil’s Harvest LP, it was his first album with the band Crazy Horse and in particular originally Danny Witten.
One of the songs on the album was recorded last. Sadly after the death of Danny. Danny was a heroin addict, and Neil wrote the song “The needle and the damage done” for his dead guitarist.

Why have you included a picture of a car instead of a picture of Neil Young??? I have never heard this song, but I have included it on my last Spotify playlist. The song I really like from Neil Young is “Rocking in the free world”.

Country is not what it used to be. I like some of the new country. Others, not so much. I don’t enjoy rap mixed with country.

Neil Young is a legend. He actually made an album called The Monsanto Years back in 2015
i have that one! great stuff in all his albums!
he is a huge activist. He threatened to sue the trump campaign and George W Bush’s campaigns for using his songs!
