Thought I would try out this Hot or Not Poll option.
Never tried it before that I recall. So here goes!
I apologize in advance if this doesn’t turn out enjoyable. 🙂

I don’t like being stung but interesting post, I have always loved pineapple.
I am allergic to wasp stings, Yikes!!! Great posts!
Thanks, I have been stung growing up before. I stay away.
Great photos especially of Dude.
Thanks, he loves the camera.
Nasty looking wasp. One year in the garden in Latvia we had mean stinging ground bees. They dug themselves into the ground and if disturbed the came flying out ready to sting. Many years ago with my first cat a female named Cha-Cha we were doing yard work and she decided to join us. The ground bee popped out and flew at her, she turned and ran, and I help up the rear. Luckily the bee gave up and the cat was saved.
These have never even tried to sting me, but I keep my distance and do not see many.
Oh Carol. You didn’t try to catch one of those hot head reds. OMG. They hurt so bad. I got stung in my forearm. Did you get stung? Did you do it?
Okay, you asked for us to share. I have one.
We ran a resort in Arkansas for 22 years. We had hired this couple, she was to help cleaning cabins, and he was Mr. Fix it. He could fix anything, and they were with us almost the whole time, they got free rent for helping. Anyway, one day I was out mowing with the lawn mower he had fixed…. I should’ve known that something was up by the way he was just sort of hanging out near me the whole time. Well, I got done and went to turn it off. No off button. No switch, nothing. I was so confused, hot and tired. Then ole Wayne sauntered up, and said well Kim. All you have to do is reached down and pull out the spark plug. Now old Wayne didn’t joke much, and I trusted him. So, yup. I reached down and grabbed that hot spark plug, and it gave the the biggest shock I have ever felt. This made Wayne double over in laughter. I had never seen him laugh so hard. Ah yes, great learning memory there. I will never forget.
Yes, growing up I thought if my brother did something then I should as well. Only took once with this one to learn! I did get stung. So you got pranked too, ouch!
that is a nasty looking wasp in the pictures.
I think many were challenged to catch one. If you were fast enough you didn’t get stung, was the line used to hook me into trying (I wasn’t fast enough)!
lol No way, you too?
Yeah me too, I got stung on my nose!
They are not bad if you leave them alone, which I did.
sadly I was issued the dreaded “double dog dare you.” one cannot refuse that!
That looks like a paper wasp, just guessing as the marking are not so clear.
Yes, we call them red wasp, but they are red paper wasps.
I can see an insect there. And as for answering those options I had ambiguity in some and so did not choose.
Yes it is a red wasp and it will sting if you try to pick it up, I keep my distance. That is why I said you could answer in comments instead.
Sorry, Dude, but I can’t make myself look at that scary bug!
You are fine, he says he will take care of him for you!
I have noticed that cats can get scared by ridiculous things, but when it comes to bugs that can even be dangerous to them, they become super brave and try to catch anything that moves.
Yes and my cats stay indoors so that is good and safe.
You did it, I didn’t have any problems. Unfortunately, I don’t know what’s in the picture.
Oh good, it was a new experience. The photo is a wasp, they will sting if you try to hold them. I found this out at an early age. My brother dared my. But it never happened again.
Thank you very much for the explanation. ?
You are very welcome.
