While the wet garbage such as kitchen and garden waste is used to prepare compost for which we have compost pits, we have used solid garbage such as plastics, broken glass, and other solid garbage including E waste to fortify the foundation of this love seat.
We collected all the solid garbage for a while and then used it for the foundation of this garden seat. The solid garbage is mixed with liquid cement to fortify the garbage and for it to stay in place.
We have similarly used solid garbage for the foundation of the reservoir that is connected to our waterfall.

There is so much that can be done with solid waste, I reduce, reuse and recycle everything that can be what cannot be I try not to buy.
At the end of the day it is the individual that can contribute greatly to make this world worth living in.
That’s a very good idea. I take the waste to the landfill.
These days our government has introduced a system of collecting garbage visiting every household.
Good for you. We use a nearby landfill.
We have a system now in that garbage is collected. We pay for that service.
We drive solid waste to our landfill … it’s a good idea to use solid waste
These days garbage is collected from everyone’s home.
And they accumulate in landfills
Now, that is creative and a good cause. Love it.
Drops make an ocean. If many do it the problem will be solved.
That’s a good and creative way to make solid waste not disturb the environment.
I hope more will take to this method.
A good idea usually attracts many people to follow it…
It could be done on a bigger scale by builders.
A good idea should be developed in various ways and for a greater interest.
That is amazing and a great idea. I love the look of that garden seat. It would be great if more people would do such things instead of just trashing everywhere
Thank you. This idea could be adopted by builders specially when they construct boundary walls running into miles. That could be used as filler material where it is required.
I want to learn how to do this thing.
For any solid construction there is always a pit dug to create a foundation. You need to mash up the solid stuff and dump it in the pit and pour liquid cement over it and pack it firmly. After a day or two you can finish it with a layer of solid concrete.
This seat is over 15 years old and has stayed firm and strong
Looks like not an easy thing to do.
You need the services of a mason
