Snow Cardinal ~ Nature Tuesday

Sharing a surprise visit from a Northern Cardinal on my deck feeder. This was taken months ago when we got a light snow. If you look closely you can see a sunflower seed in his mouth. Took the photo through the patio doors.

My Dad loved these redbirds, as he called them. We would talk every day and birds was one of the main topics we covered. I miss those days.

    • Not that I am aware of, nothing any more than any other birds. They are very careful birds and often hide. This is why I never found any of their nests, only saw the babies. They also never migrate. They stay in my area year round. That probably helps in their survival rate.
