Sky Sunday – The second Supermoon of the year

Spring brings us the second Supermoon of the year. The Moon  appears full, about 14 percent higher and 30 percent brighter than usual, three days in a row.

The phenomenon is due to the fact that the moon does not have a circular orbit around the Earth, but an oval one – so an optical illusion occurs. It is the second Super Moon of this year.

I share this picture with Sky Sunday Challenge.
