Framed sky!! It was a lovely sight to view the sky through the Parkia biglandulosa or the Badminton Ball Tree. This tree when not in bloom can be easily confused with the Jacranda or the delonix regia.
The fluffy white tennis ball or badminton ball like flowers when in bloom and the dark blackish tight ball like appearance of the buds of this tree against a perfect blue sky looks amazing. As kids we used to play with these flowers. We would remove the petals/filaments to expose a face like space and leave the rest to look like hair and draw faces to make dolls with these lovely flowers. The dress would be made with banana leaves or palm leaves.
I haven’t seen this trees in years. Just seeing this tree brought back so many memories of my carefree childhood. I am so happy to share this picture for this Sky Sunday challenge.
