The best way to wake up is simple stretches. Nice slow stretches to see what your body is feeling like after your night rest. I begin by pointing my toes and then flexing my heels, That lets me know how my calves are doing. Next are my hips, and it’s just a little circle while I am laying in bed. Then come a couple of shoulder rolls and stretching my arms and wiggle the fingers. Then lay ear to shoulder on each side. Now you can determine when and how your body can get out of bed. (The routine was given to me by my physical therapist and it works!
I often hit a soft music button while I do this. It seems like a great way to begin moving.

I usually just stretch and start thinking about how I am feeling. Sort of like starting to feel my body wake up and if everything seems to feel all right I get up.
I am jealous. I have often been told to do all of these things. How many times have I done them? Once, years ago. Good for you and thanks for the reminders. 🙂
I am pretty stuck on this routine.
