Silhouettes Saturday – Two silhouettes at Chindia Tower

The main condition for a great picture with silhouettes is to place your subject in front of a light source and set the exposure to the bright background of the frame. Today I didn’t have suitable conditions for this kind of photography, because my light source was hidden in the clouds.  I didn’t give up! I tried to make the best use of the existing conditions, because I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture two small silhouettes at the Chindia Tover!

The Chindia Tower is the emblem of my town Targoviste. Most likely it was built in the second half of the 15th century, during the reign of Vlad Tepes( Vlad the Impaler).

  1. In New Zealand we are born to learn to do Do it yourself, and unfavourable conditions may be an opportunity. It is just done by lateral thinking and thinking outside the box.

I love this photo, it is has great composition. Photography has taught me much about composition.
