Silhouette Saturday ~ View of the sea

Although my country is small, we also have a freight port. Luka Koper is the only international freight port in Slovenia. The port can accommodate ships with a capacity of 180,000 tons. Luka Koper offers the closest connection between Eastern and Central Europe to the Mediterranean, and the main cargo flows to the port through the Suez Canal and the Gibraltar Strait. This picture was created during my holidays. As you know, I really adore watching the sunset. During the holidays, I sat at the beach every night and enjoyed a wonderful view. At sea they can see the silhouettes of cargo ships which are waiting to enter the port.

  1. Very nice. I used to watch ships coming into San Francisco bay at night. The water was black and the air was black – I imagined the large ships lit up were floating in space.

      • Now, most of my life is vacation which may be nice if I can make myself act like I have a short break to do things. I’m new at this and actually missed working for a while. (hard to believe) Have a great day!

  3. I grew up in a port – Poole on the south coast of England.

I see you have the problem I often have when taking photos of the sea – getting the horizon level!
