Shut it Down

We were having a personal family discussion about when it time to roll up the carpets and close the door. People have been in and out to wish my brother the best on his surgery. It’s like people are crawling out of the wood work. He could probably use some rest. I could probably use less stress.

I understand they want to wish him well and I understand his need to sleep and get rest.

He finally got the sign from the business door and moved it to the front door.

I am certain that people will simply knock and walk in as usual.

  1. I’m mindful of people who are having medical procedures, so there are times when well-wishers must be turned away. For us, it would depend on who was wanting to visit. What I mean is that our pastor or family would be allowed in, even late. Then again, the pastor and family are well aware that a person needs rest and would probably visit early and not late.
