Should we store eggs in a fridge?

I would like to share with you some interesting facts about eggs that I have read in a news article today.

In supermarkets of Japan, Canada, the USA, and Australia, eggs can be found in the refrigerated area near milk and cheese. But in Europe or mainland Asia, they are more likely to be found on a non-refrigerated shelf.

The difference is in the way of fighting salmonella. In the USA, they wash, disinfect and store eggs in cold to prevent eggs from bacterias. in the EU and Asia, they opt for a special liquid that is a natural protection cover that is applied on eggs before they get to supermarkets.

Interestingly, you may keep eggs fresh for 3 weeks storing them in room temperature. In a fridge, they may be kept for up to 2 months.
