Short Stories: Home for the Holidays

Recently someone wrapped up in the political arena made a comment about how focusing on all that is going on is a burden. This person confessed that to combat the oppressiveness they have begun going home to watch Hallmark/Lifetime style movies.

The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and this was proof to me that even the most hard core characters have a soft spot for the mental break that a heartwarming story offers. The revelation reminded me of a few stories I’ve written and I decided to notify readers here of where they can find them.

The majority are themed around the holidays and they are short reads, originally designed to be read in three minutes. One of my personal favorites is The Unexpected Gift and another is Christmas Fudge. Each story has links to others in the series if any are interested in reading more.

As a bonus here, No Second Thoughts is semi-related to a holiday, but it is not the typical feel-good tale. If you take the quiz additional input on them can be left in the comments below. Feedback from readers is always appreciated.

    • Thanks kindly! Getting the option to edit after a post would be great, but only if everyone would use it honestly.

Proofing well is really the solution but as humans we make mistakes. If we can smile about them and go forward having learned from them we’ve at least gained a good lesson. The question is, have I now learned to proof more carefully?! :- ) The proof will be in the pudding… ;- )

  1. Okay folks. I goofed on the second question. It was posted immediately after submitting so I hope readers will realize that the yes should be for stories and the no should be for movies. Proofing our work well is so important…
