Shadows Saturday ~ Interesting church

By no means can I forget my vacation. Today I was a little awakening to memories and reviewing pictures. This picture was taken during my walk to the vineyard. The path led past the cemetery, which is quite far from the village. A small church in the cemetery caught my attention. This church is also different from the churches I see in our country. Looks like they started building churches in a more modern style. I particularly liked the cross-shaped windows. Very interesting idea. Although the church is a little different from the usual, I still like it.

    • I am very glad to see you again. Hope all is well with you. I am currently having trouble posting and reviewing posts so I will look at your posts when things are done. I see more and more “modern” churches in our country.

      • That’s the way it is around here also. I used to work for a local parish. You’d be shocked what people do when they go in an open, unoccupied church.

Churches are usually open at least a half hour before or after the Mass. The parish I worked for didn’t mind photographers at those times as long as you don’t bother the people there. You might be able to get inside if you know when the Masses are.

          • We’ve had that happen here quite often as well. The church I used to work at had a safe for all of the valuable items. The safe was kept in a room which was always locked. They had problems with people coming into the church and defecating. And they didn’t use the bathroom.
