September Snow Memories

No, it is not snowing in September. Actually we are still having a heatwave. Triple digits this week. I am so ready for cooler weather.

Was browsing through my photo library and found this one from 2010. We rarely get snow, but on this day we got several inches. I snapped several photos. This little butterfly house on the deck had icicles hanging on the side.

I wish for more weather like this soon!

Enjoy nature photography. Amateur self-taught photographer and love every minute of the photos from my yard and Dustin's garden. Sunset views from my deck are very peaceful to watch, capture and share. I have two cats, Brendel and the Dude. I share both special and funny moments I capture of them with you.

Also enjoy seeing and reading your posts from all over the world.

  1. I enjoy every weather, every weather has its own charm because it give us hope,so hot is convert in very cool after some time, fall ‘ll be changed with spring, these are all blessing of GOD and charm of nature. one weather ,one food all the time ‘ll make us bore.

  2. Oh Carol thank you so much for posting this beautiful snow picture. I cannot wait for snow even though here since about 2 weeks, the heat has relented. I can imagine myself in that snow right now. Again a big thanks. BTW that butterfly house is so pretty. Did you paint it yourself? Say hi to the Dude and Brendel from me….

  3. I kive that photo. You know, now that I am back in the states and in Florida I do not do much complaining about the heat when it rises. Back in Latvia, I experienced plenty of cold times and temp way down in the minuses and even one long-ago October when it was snowing so my bones get to warm up now.

  4. I love weather in the range of 10-15 degree C. However, I have experienced snow in the month of May and June when it’s too hot in plains but snows in Himalaya which is not far off from my Indian house.

  5. In Auckland we had 3 years of hot weather in Summer and every year it has got hotter. We had hardly any rain and even though August had quite a lot of rain, we in Auckland have been told to conserve our water use.

I really feel sorry for the Australians,,,not NZ people but next door, it has been over 40 degree celsius heat and their beaches have ruthless sharks that attack swimmers.
Plus bush fires. Australia is an unforgiving country and harsh.
However the New Zealanders and Australians help each other in disasters we are there for each other.
