The 2018 Autumnal equinox occurs Saturday, Sept. 22 at 8:54 p.m. CT. It is officially almost time for the new season to begin. The leaves here have turned, the apples have fallen, the orange for hunting is everywhere and the seasonal foods are beginning to appear. As you may know, I am a big fan of seasons and choose to live where they are very distinct.
Fall brings many happy memories for me. Mom loved the fall colors. Hunting begins in fall and that was one of two family activities I experienced growing up. I get to play with my grandsons and the leaves and that is glorious.
So for me I bid summer a fond farewell and embrace the new season.
