This is my contribution to the Saturday critters challenge. This green shied bug is not as bad as the stinky bug, but it is mildly stinky if you touch it. I usually don’t see them in summer. This little guy somehow got into out home. He was probably looking from some respite from the summer heat. We had to take him out and let him go.
The photographs picked up the finer details , it looks like he had a little gem on his rear. How amazing are these little creatures. They are so interesting when you look at them from close quarters.

Diamond in the rough?
I am always amazed by watching insects in the yard. the way they move, interact and see the world is unique.
A diamond well polished I would say. I am sure it has a place in the circle of life.
well, polished diamond sparkles but can you see the diamond when it is not polished?
Didn’t you see the sparkle when exposed to light? My eyes catch the sparkle LOL
not on an unpolished or raw diamond. You only see potential!
Good enough. Potential is all we need, it’s a bug after all.
Interesting bug. I used to like taking photos of the honey bees and butterflies in our garden back in Latvia.
Why not now? I love taking pictures of all insects. Well almost all.
All I have seen here in Florida are ugly flying cockroaches and little tiny lizards
That’s a great close up!
Thank you, I got to see somethings that I would have otherwise missed.
I have tried to remember if I had seen anything like it, but I still wasn’t sure I’d seen it.
This one is pretty common in our garden, however since they are green in color we miss them out.
Still, it’s beautiful. I haven’t seen one here.
Thank you , I am happy you said it is beautiful, not many people think insects are beautiful.
I’ve never seen a bug like this before, but it’s rather cute, I think.
I think it is cute as well CoffeeQueen. 🙂
